Personal Trainer

Description: Position involves facilitation of developing customized fitness programs, guiding clients through safe and effective workouts, and helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to motivate clients of all fitness levels. This position is an independently contracted position only.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Conduct fitness assessments and consultations with clients
  • Develop personalized workout plans tailored to individual goals and abilities
  • Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques and equipment use
  • Monitor client progress and adjust programs as needed
  • Offer encouragement, motivation, and support to help clients stay on track
  • Maintain a clean and safe workout environment
  • Stay current with fitness trends and continuing education

Qualifications:

  • Certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM)
  • CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for health, fitness, and helping others
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends- scheduling is up to personal trainer and client. The REC is not responsible for any scheduling communication between the trainer and the client.
LES MILLS BodyPump Instructor

Description: We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and certified LES MILLS BODYPUMP Instructor to lead high-quality strength-based group fitness classes. As a BODYPUMP Instructor, you will motivate, coach, and inspire participants through choreographed barbell workouts designed to improve muscular endurance and overall fitness. This position is an independently contracted position only.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Deliver safe, effective, and engaging LES MILLS BODYPUMP classes in accordance with LES MILLS standards.
  • Create a positive, motivating, and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Provide clear instruction, technique guidance, and modifications to suit all fitness levels.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current BODYPUMP choreography and releases.
  • Represent the club and LES MILLS brand professionally at all times.
  • Attend regular team meetings, trainings, and workshops as required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of group fitness equipment before and after classes.

Qualifications:

  • Current LES MILLS BODYPUMP certification (Initial Module Training and/or Advanced Training).
  • Current CPR/AED certification (as required by local regulations).
  • Previous group fitness or personal training experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Strong understanding of exercise science, safety, and group dynamics.
  • Passion for fitness, health, and helping others achieve their goals.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift and move equipment (barbells, weights).
  • Availability for early morning, evening, or weekend classes may be required- our current BodyPump classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 AM.
  • Active and physically demanding role; instructors must be able to perform exercises with participants.
Part Time Life Guard

Description: Under the direction of the Lead Lifeguard and Aquatics Manager, the Lifeguard is responsible for providing a safe, clean and welcoming environment for the Fairview Heights Recreation Complex. In addition, the Lifeguard will assist in overseeing and maintaining all areas related to the Aquatic Center, including the pool, locker rooms, pool deck, and surrounding areas.

Part Time Member Services Assistant

Description: Under the direction of the Office Manager, The Member – Services Assistant is responsible for assisting in the administrative duties of the front desk operations. Additionally, the Member – Services Assistant is the point of reference for all cancellations, accounts receivables and birthday party confirmations.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Acts as a representative of the Fairview Heights REcreation Complex in the community and maintains a professional image
  • Provides outstanding and results-driven customer service
  • Greets members as they enter and scans membership ID cards
  • Assists staff with member issues such as member follow-ups, including in person, phone follow ups, and email follow ups
  • Processes sale of memberships, and issues ID cards, point of sale items, and program registration.
